The fast boat builders are now fitting impact monitoring systems to protect themselves from future warranty claims caused by the vessel being driven beyond the structural limits or the skipper’s skill level.

In the event of an incident the data can be used to distinguish between genuine claims or damage caused by inappropriate driving, or by overlaying the course on a chart, perhaps a collision with a fixed object.

OFFSHORE Scout

The Dyena OFFSHORE Scout system provides a complete monitoring package in one case. Capturing data for trials or vessel development is simplified but having a complete system in a rugged waterproof case.

Incorporating a high capacity lithium ion battery and internal GPS, over 24 hours continuous operation can achieved by simply strapping the box to the vessel.

LiveTRAX

LiveTrax is an enterprise solution for national fishery authorities to track their fleet.

Dyena LiveTRAX enables authorities to monitor the position of their fishing fleet in real time, assisting in the management of fish stocks and protection of Exclusive Economic Zones.

Dyena LiveTRAX improves the safety of solo operators with a failsafe wireless crew alert facility that alerts the authority if they fall overboard or become incapacitated. Worn within the base clothing layer, oversight is maintained even if life vest and jacket containing PLB is removed.

Dyena LiveTRAX also records crew and vessel exposure to vibration and impact, with further sensors added if required. Smartphone apps compliment the system and custom reporting features can be tailored to the authority’s requirements.

Vessel Monitoring Unit

The Vessel Monitoring Unit (VMU) records detailed information on a vessel’s motion, position and performance, through various parameters including pitch, roll, yaw and accelerations in 3 axes.
With sampling up to 1000 Hz, all data is recorded alongside GPS data to include SOG, COG, time and position. Engine data from the vessels NMEA canbus
network can be included.
Installation is simple. The internal GPS antenna and self calibrating sensors begin recording to the solid state memory when the unit is powered.
Up to 16 Remote sensors can be mounted on vessel structure or equipment to measure shock and vibration in different locations.

Multiple sensors can positioned in the vessel at required locations to record accelerations in 3 axis. Results are recorded to the VMU and synchronised with data from other modules. Connected via a CANBUS network, 16 remote sensors can be added to each vessel.
