OFFSHORE Solutions
Dyena OFFSHORE is available in different formats for suit various applications. From low cost variants for warranty protection to 9 axis solutions with remote sensors for gathering high resolution data.
Which are you?
Shock mitigating technology is allowing boats to go faster and harder, increasing stress and risk of accident. The fast boat builders are now fitting impact monitoring systems to protect themselves from future warranty claims caused by the vessel being driven beyond the structural limits or the skipper’s skill level.
In the event of an incident the data can be used to distinguish between genuine claims or damage caused by inappropriate driving, or by overlaying the course on a chart, perhaps a collision with a fixed object.
This is not a new clandestine tactic. For many years, car manufacturers have been recording data within the ECU to protect themselves from dishonest customers who may claim the gearbox “just fell apart at the traffic lights” but omitted the fact they had changed from 6th gear to 2nd gear on the motorway.
Recommend System: OFFSHORE Protect
A vessel is a considerable investment. With the Dyena OFFSHORE keep track of daily use and schedule the fleets servicing based upon actual usage. The traffic light system can be used to monitor vessel structural integrity against operational speed and wave height restrictions or maximum allowable vessel vertical accelerations.
Recommend System: OFFSHORE Protect with Helm Indicator Panel
With UK & EU legislation now in force, more pressure is being made on employers to ensure that the necessary steps are taken to monitor the health of their workforce. For a small investment, Dyena OFFSHORE provides a health surveillance system and protection for the employer.
An employer’s duty of care requires them to ensure that all passengers and crew are safe and it is in their interests to monitor the situation not only from a health and safety perspective, but also to expose any driving habits or situations that may be putting other staff at risk. A crew member or passenger with an injury caused by an overzealous or unlucky skipper could result in a financial loss for the company and a subsequent investigation by the relevant Safety Executive and insurers.
Recommend System: OFFSHORE Professional
Easy access to craft dynamics. Internal sensors to record vessel monition in 6 axis. With pitch, Roll and Yaw data recorded alongside the X,Y,Z accelerations, the system provides high resolution data for development and long term trials.
Recommend System: OFFSHORE Premium
Gathering accurate data on vessel performance during trials is important to fully understand the results, but it is not always convenient to rig the sensors.
The OFFSHORE Scout system incorporates everything into a rugged case with internal battery pack for quick setup on any vessel.

LiveTRAX
LiveTrax is an enterprise solution for national fishery authorities to track their fleet.
Dyena LiveTRAX enables authorities to monitor the position of their fishing fleet in real time, assisting in the management of fish stocks and protection of Exclusive Economic Zones.
Dyena LiveTRAX improves the safety of solo operators with a failsafe wireless crew alert facility that alerts the authority if they fall overboard or become incapacitated. Worn within the base clothing layer, oversight is maintained even if life vest and jacket containing PLB is removed.
Dyena LiveTRAX also records crew and vessel exposure to vibration and impact, with further sensors added if required. Smartphone apps compliment the system and custom reporting features can be tailored to the authority’s requirements.

Vessel Monitoring Unit
The Vessel Monitoring Unit (VMU) records detailed information on a vessel’s motion, position and performance, through various parameters including pitch, roll, yaw and accelerations in 3 axes.
With sampling up to 1000 Hz, all data is recorded alongside GPS data to include SOG, COG, time and position. Engine data from the vessels NMEA canbus
network can be included.
Installation is simple. The internal GPS antenna and self calibrating sensors begin recording to the solid state memory when the unit is powered.
Up to 16 Remote sensors can be mounted on vessel structure or equipment to measure shock and vibration in different locations.
